Why I built Recital HQ.

Hello! I'm Andrew, and I'd like to thank you for considering Recital HQ.
I have four daughters. Three of them are dancers, and the fourth will be joining them as soon as she learns to walk. Most of our time is spent at the dance studio, and any free time at home is typically spent thinking about, talking about, or practicing dance.
I'm an Engineer who builds and designs products, processes, and systems for consumer goods and manufacturing companies around the world. I thought I had dealt with some of the most complex challenges I could face, and then I got to experience in real time a dance studio planning a recital. Hundreds of families, countless spreadsheets, sticky notes, phone calls, and weeks of someone's evenings going into which class belongs in which show. It is a true logistical feat.
That's why I built Recital HQ, for studio owners to gain a partner in their planning cycle, and to take back their precious time. The less you have to plan means the more time you can put into your dancers, your routines, and the reasons you got into studio ownership in the first place.

No. Recital HQ handles recital season alongside whatever runs registration and billing for the rest of your year. You bring your roster in and take your PDFs out — nothing else about how you run the studio has to change.
Recital HQ imports your dancers, families, classes, teachers and enrollments from CSV files, which every major studio management platform can export. You can also paste or type classes in directly if your studio is small enough that an export isn't worth the trouble.
Most studios can go from a roster import to a fully built and sequenced recital in a single afternoon. Recital HQ has no implementation project and no onboarding period — you import your classes and start placing shows the same day.
